Happy Sunday Dolphins!

Happy Father's Day to all of our wonderful AP dads! I hope you're enjoying a relaxing and restful day. This is a long email my apologies in advance! There is a lot of important information to share.

What a Meet!

We had another great win this weekend, bringing our record to 4-0 this season! We also had 226 new top times and some fantastic swims across the board.

We have one more meet before our 4th of July break. The deadline to sign in or out of the meet is tonight at midnight, so please log in and declare your swimmer's attendance as soon as possible.

This week's meet is an important conference meet and will count toward our league standings. We need all Dolphins there to help secure another win! The meet is away at West Sacramento, which has a great 10-lane pool an excellent opportunity for swimmers to post some fast times as we head toward Championships. More meet details will be out later this week.

A Reminder About Kindness and Respect

I also want to address something that was recently brought to my attention regarding teasing between some of our swimmers. This serves as an important reminder about the values we strive to uphold as a team.

Our Dolphins come from different backgrounds and have different interests, and that's what makes our team special. We want every swimmer to feel welcome, supported, and comfortable being themselves.

Please take a moment to talk with your swimmer about the impact their words can have on others. What may seem like harmless teasing can sometimes be hurtful and affect a teammate's confidence and enjoyment of the sport.

As Dolphins, we encourage one another, celebrate our differences, and treat everyone with respect both in and out of the pool. Thank you for helping us create a positive environment where all swimmers can learn, grow, and thrive.

AP Spirit Week: June 29 - July 3

Get ready for one of our favorite weeks of the season!

Monday – Make Waves Monday
No lane lines, no problem! We'll follow the black line and see how straight we can swim without lane lines to guide us.

Tuesday – Teamwork Tuesday
Find a friend (or two) to swim with. Everything we do will be with your partner! Don't have one? No problem—we'll match you up at practice.

Wednesday – Wear Your Wardrobe Wednesday
Swimming in your clothes is always fun... and surprisingly difficult! Grab an oversized t-shirt, shorts, pajama pants, or whatever you can safely swim in. The more layers, the bigger the challenge!

Thursday – Take Your Chance Thursday
Draw cards to determine strokes, sets, relays, and challenges. Anything can happen!

Friday – Fun Friday
Morning practice only. No afternoon swim. Enjoy your 4th of July weekend!

Championships Information (July 18-19)

For families who are new to the team, Championships is our end-of-season meet where we compete against all teams in our conference. It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the hard work, growth, and accomplishments of our swimmers throughout the season.

Championships is for all swimmers and takes place over two days (6 & Under swimmers compete on Saturday only). Swimmers will have the opportunity to swim all events, with the top 10 swimmers in each event advancing to afternoon finals.

To be eligible for Championships, swimmers must have participated in at least two dual meets during the season (Time Trials do not count).

Championships is often where swimmers achieve their best times of the season and truly see how much they have improved. Our athletes have worked incredibly hard, and we'd love to see every Dolphin there as we finish the season strong together.

Championship sign-out deadline: June 30

Please remember to declare your swimmer for both days of the meet. Swimmers must have participated in at least two dual meets during the season to be eligible for Championships.

Championships is a mandatory meet, and we want to see all Dolphins in attendance! Our swimmers have worked incredibly hard all season, and our team goal is to bring the 1st Place Championship Trophy back to Arden Park. Every swimmer plays an important role in helping us achieve that goal, so let's finish the season strong together!

Meet of Champions

For swimmers interested in extending their season, the Meet of Champions will be held August 1-2 at the Elk Grove Aquatic Center.

This All-Star meet brings together top summer league swimmers from across the Sacramento region. Swimmers may qualify by placing in the top 10 at Conference Championships or by meeting qualifying time standards.

Championship shirt and cap orders will be coming soon! For those who are new to the team, each year we create a special Arden Park Dolphins Championship shirt and matching cap. Past themes have included Top Gun, Jurassic Park, the Olympics, and Mission Impossible.

Stay tuned for this year's design and watch for a separate email with ordering information coming soon!

Have a great evening, and I'll see everyone tomorrow morning at practice!
