Dolphin News Splash 6/29/25 It's Spirit Week!
Good Evening AP Dolphins,
NOTES FROM THE COACH
Happy Sunday Dolphins! What another amazing meet on Saturday. We had 194 best times! Amazing job Dolphins!!!
Thank you everyone for checking in on time for this meet! Sunrise gave us a huge shoutout! They were down a printer and that was the reason we were able to start the meet on time and end earlier than expected!
We have one more conference meet left and then our League Championships! We won the Sunrise meet making us 3-0 in League standings! Our next meet will be against the West Sacramento Dolphins (They won Championships last year). This will be our most challenging meet! They have a lot of fast swimmers, we need all Dolphins in attendance so we can show them what we are made of! If you have not swam in at least two swim meets this season (2 individual events in both), you do not qualify for Championships. You have one more swim meet to make sure you are eligible. Everyone is expected at Championships, this is what we work for all season long! Your teammates are counting on you!
This weekend we have a relaxing week off! With the fourth of July coming up we will be doing our annual spirit week this week! It is always a lot of fun! Spirit days will happen at morning and afternoon practices. Come and enjoy the fun!
SPIRIT WEEK DAYS:
Monday- Open Water swim Monday: No lane lines, no problem! Let’s try and follow the black line and see how straight we can swim without lane lines to guide us.
Tuesday- Teamwork Tuesday: Find a friend or partner or two to swim with. Everything we do you will be stuck with your partner! If you don't have a partner, no problem, we will match you with one at practice.
Wednesday- Wear your wardrobe Wednesday: Swimming in your clothes is always fun... swimming laps in your clothes is hard! Grab an oversized T-shirt and/or some pants/shorts/pajamas and let's give it a try. The more clothes the harder. How many layers can you wear? 11 up afternoon practice will be a surprise! Make sure you come and join in on the fun!
Thursday- Two swimsuits - Thirsty Thursday: This is a double Spirit day! Double up your swimsuits for twice the swimming power and bring anything but a water bottle to drink out of (no glass please).
Friday- Happy 4th of July! No Swim today!
If you want to get ahead of the game, declare your attendance for the next meet ahead of time! It is a home meet! Check in will be at 6:30, warm ups start at 6:55 for big kids. More meet info will come next week.
