Notes From the Coach

Congratulations to all dolphins!!! What a great meet yesterday! We beat FEC with a score of 457 to 371!!! We had 165 athletes beat at least one of their times with a total of 186 best times! We have another meet this weekend before a much needed weekend off. This week we will be swimming against Sunrise Sharks. This is a conference meet, 100% attendance is expected! We need ALL dolphins there and ready to swim! The pool is located at 7801 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA 95610. The sign in deadline is tonight at midnight. Please make sure to log in and either click "attending" or "not attending". This is an 8 lane pool allowing for a couple extra swimmers in events!

Check in is promptly at 6:45. We had a lot of late check ins this week. When swimmers are late to check in, it pushes the meet back. Our meets have a hard stop time in order for public swim to open, we can not run over that time. Please check in on time!

Warm up times are as followed:

11 up 7:45-7:55

9/10 7:55 - 8:05

7/8 (lanes 1-6) 8:05-8:15

6u (lanes 7/8) 8:05-8:15 

There are morning practices this week on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays! Afternoon practices are the same as well! We have had some athletes frustrated that they are not dropping as much time as they would like to. As we know with most sports, the more effort you put in the better results you get. At practice athletes need to be focused and give 100% effort. When a handful are messing around it ruins it for the others that are there to practice and give it their full effort. A reminder before practice begins could be helpful for our younger athletes. Hope everyone has a restful day! I will see you at the pool tomorrow!!! Have a great week!
