Welcome Back Dolphins!
Hello AP Dolphins . . . We’re Back!!!
We had a great turnout for new swimmer registration last month! We are excited to meet our new swim families and show them why Arden Park is such a great place to
swim! If you are new to our team this year, allow me to introduce myself. I am Leah Lind. I have two sons on the Dolphins, Noah (13/14 boy) and Sam (11/12 boy), and we have been Dolphins since 2018 and love love love being Dolphins. As our season gets going, you will start getting a weekly email from me (starting in April) that talks about any important information that you need to know and any important dates that are coming up. Here's what you need to know right now . . .
Now that our swimmers are registered, it’s time to look toward the season. The 1st
day of swim practice for the 2025 season will be Tuesday, April 1st. More information about practice times and what to expect at swim practices will be coming in the following weeks. In addition, the swim meet schedule is already set for the 2025 season and can be found here, along with other important dates coming up this season. Please take a moment to check it out and mark down important dates on your home calendar.
NEW SWIMMER ASSESSMENT
New swimmers to Arden Park will need to complete the new swimmer assessment before they can participate in the 2025 swim season. You should have received an email to sign-up for the new swimmer assessment. If you did not, please email [email protected].
NCSL
Please remember to take a moment to register your swimmer with NCSL (this is in
addition to your registration for our swim team). Click here to go to the NCSL registration page. The registration is required before your swimmer can participate in swim practice. Note: if you have a new swimmer that needs to participate in swim assessments, please wait to register with NCSL until after your swimmer passes the assessment (the $20 registration fee is non-refundable).
STROKE & TURN JUDGE
Interested in learning more about being a Stroke & Turn Judge or a Starter? There will
be a training at Rusch Park on April 30th at 6:30. Please reply to this email for more information.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We have a few open positions that we need someone to step-up and take on for our team. The positions are Web Master and Social Director. These are season-long
volunteer positions that would satisfy your family’s volunteer hours. If completing volunteer hours during the swim meets is a hardship for your family, then these positions may be perfect for you. If you would like more information on what the positions require, please reach out to our Board President, Michelle Vick at [email protected].
MARCH CLINICS
We are excited to welcome back some of our swimmers to the pool for March Clinics
starting tomorrow! If you didn't sign up your swimmer for March Clinics, it's not too late! There are still some spots available. Please email [email protected] if interested. While March Clinics is not required, it is highly encouraged to get your swimmers ready for the season. March Clinics is offered for registered returning swimmers ONLY.
IMPORTANT - It has come to the Board's attention that there is an additional waiver that will need to be signed for the Arden Park Recreation & Park District for swimmers to participate in 2025 swim season activities. Your swimmer will NOT be able to participate in March Clinics without the waiver so please be sure to email a signed copy OR bring a copy to the pool on your first day of practice or your swimmer will not be able to swim. The waiver is attached to this email. Please sign and email a copy to [email protected] and [email protected] OR bring a physical copy to March Clinic which starts next week!
If you signed your swimmer up for March Clinics, be sure to check if you signed up for Group A or Group B – Group A swims on Mondays and Wednesdays, Group B swims on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Returning 6&Under swimmers are all on Tuesday and Thursdays. See below for age group days/times:
